Data storage policy
South African law imposes extensive record retention obligations on organisations and businesses operating in the country. As a non-profit organisation, médecins sans frontiers (“msf sa”) is legally obligated to retain records in line with the law. This retention and destruction policy (“the policy”) establishes MSF SA’s approach to the retention and destruction of records. These records include personal information, company records and any confidential information of MSF SA
This policy refers to the legislation and identifies the timeframe in which certain documents have to be kept. The policy does not attempt to include all legislation, but only refers to the general legislation that impacts a wide variety of activities within MSF SA.
When the retention period has lapsed, obsolete personal information must be destroyed in a manner that prevents the ability to reconstruct such personal information in an intelligible form. MSF SA must adopt methods that allow for compliance with this requirement.
Before send an application: Please be aware that MSFSA office will share your documents (CV, letters, etc) with other colleagues and counter parties outside South Africa.
Applications will be kept for 2years. Should the document not be used in 2 years, the documents will be destroyed and the candidate will have to reapply if they are still interested in working MSF SA.
